Enrollment Process

The enrollment process will be complete when we receive the following required documents and payment:

• Enrollment Application
• Signed Handbook Agreement
• Financial Agreement along with Registration Fee -$300
• Records Transfer Request
• One picture of each student for the student file
• Birth Certificate (copy)
• Schedule of Immunization Records (Form 680) or Exemption Form
• Florida Department of Health Certificate (physical exam within the last 12 months)( Form 3040)

The Waves Christian Academy requires that you:

1. Read Parent – Student Handbook completely during the enrollment process.

• Sign the Parent – Student Handbook Agreement.

• Pay registration and tuition as outlined in the Financial Agreement.

• Uphold a standard of behavior by student(s) that will not detract from the reputation of Waves Christian Academy.

Waiting List

At WCA to best serve our students we keep our ratio of Student to Teacher small so this means space is limited each school year. Because of this we keep an active waiting list.  While it is impossible to predict when or if an opening may arise in your child’s class, the School Office will notify you immediately by telephone upon an opening becoming available. If a family cannot be reached, or a family does not respond within 48 hours, the School Office will contact the next eligible family on the waiting list. Therefore, it is imperative that the School Office have up-to-date contact information on file. You may choose at any time to remove your family from the waiting list by contacting the School Office. To get on the Waiting List please contact the school office. 

TESTING AND PLACEMENT

Testing for new students may be required to ascertain the proper grade level for each student while at Waves Christian Academy. The school reserves the right after testing a child and after counseling with the parents, to change the grade placement of any student. Test dates will be negotiated on an individual basis.

Proper placement will contribute to a student’s success and is therefore often a critical decision. Age or grade level at a previous school does not always indicate the proper grade placement at Waves Christian Academy.

Please understand that Waves Christian Academy is not equipped to handle all special needs students. For those students needing an IEP (Individualized Education Program) the school will meet with the parents on an individual basis.

Currently there is a waiting list for all our programs.

WCA will no longer be offering “Opening Enrollment” into our program. Due to limited seats and the mission of WCA, we will be offering Application Base enrollment only. Only a limited number of new students will be accepted into WCA each year. This number will be based on returning current WCA students from the following year. Parents and Students on our waiting list will be contacted once the application process has started.
